Summit Land Conservancy

Deer Valley Resort has teamed up with Summit Land Conservancy to protect local open space in Park City and Summit County. You can too!

Deer Valley Resort invites our Pass holders to help preserve the landscapes and open space we enjoy today. When you donate 1% of the purchase price, or any designated amount, you help save land right here in Summit County. Just check the box "I'd like to donate" when completing your checkout process online.

Part of the joy of skiing comes from the fun of playing outdoors and taking in the distant, clear views. But these landscapes aren’t saved by accident and they aren’t saved for free. The Summit Land Conservancy, an accredited land trust, is based in Park City and works with the community to protect and preserve land and water for the benefit of people and nature.

Summit Land Conservancy currently protects over 5,000 acres, including about 1,000 acres right here at Deer Valley Resort. In 2017, with support from Deer Valley® and many others, the conservancy has helped save 1,350 acres of Bonanza Flat, the view you see from the top of the Empire Express chairlift.
